Frequently Asked Questions

1. What does an Exercise Physiologist do?

An Exercise Physiologist (EP) specialises in using clinical exercise and movement therapy to treat and prevent injuries, manage chronic diseases, and improve physical performance.

At MotionPlus, our EPs create individualised programs to help you move better, reduce pain, and return to work or daily life confidently.

2. Difference between Physiotherapist & Exercise Physiologist?

Physiotherapist: Acute injuries, manual therapy, early-stage rehab.

Exercise Physiologist: Long-term recovery via exercise & lifestyle programs.

EPs help restore strength, function, and reduce re-injury after physio treatment.

WorkCover, CTP, DVA, and Medicare CDM plans require GP referral for funding.
